Joanne Betty Conlon & Kevin Barry:
Scenes from the Analogue City

Joanne Betty Conlon’s photographs of Limerick City were taken during her time there as an art student in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Five images published here poignantly depict a post-industrial cityscape and its architecture and incidental moments of life. Each is accompanied by new texts from Kevin Barry, responses to the air and atmosphere of the place that he also lived in during that time.

Produced by Winter Papers, an annual anthology of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, photography and visual arts edited by Kevin Barry and Olivia Smith, during their residency in Askeaton in 2017.
